Laser Lab
The Laser Lab is the central hub for precise cutting and engraving on a wide variety of materials. Using our powerful CO₂ laser cutter, you can quickly and easily cut complex shapes from wood, acrylic, cardboard, and other suitable materials, or customize them with individual engravings.

files
Please bring your own design files (preferably in vector format such as .SVG, .DXF, .AI or .PDF), ideally already prepared and saved on a USB stick or via a cloud link. For the best results, you should have a basic understanding of how to use vector graphics programmes (e.g. Inkscape, Illustrator). You can either bring your own materials (wood, acrylic, card) or purchase them from us on site.
A vector line is required for cutting; for engraving, pixel files such as .jpg or .png with high contrast and good resolution are sufficient (the software recognizes 64 shades of grey and scales the output accordingly).

Cost model
Cutting costs €1 per minute; engraving costs 60 cents per minute. Students and Young Members are eligible for a discount.
