We offer to the university community an inspiring environment for learning, teaching, research and innovation. With modern workshops, digital technologies and expert support, our spaces enable the practical realization of ideas, projects and experimental initiatives.

The Fablab offers the opportunity to hold lectures and practical courses in an inspiring environment that combines innovation and creativity.
Services offered:
- Use of the lecture room without machinery or tools (autonomously carried out by the lecturer)
- Use of the workshops, machinery and work areas, with guidance and support from our team
Requirements
To actively use the spaces and tools, lecturers and students must have completed the introduction and safety course. For practical courses, the planned activities and the required machinery and tools must be agreed in advance with team. If necessary, additional safety briefings for students can be organized.
Organisation and Booking
Courses are preferably held in the mornings. Dates are arranged directly via e-mail.
The spaces are available to students as an open innovation and workshop environment. Once students have completed the introductory and safety courses, they may use the facilities and equipment independently during opening hours.
Services
- Use of the workshops, laboratories and communal areas for personal projects
- Booking of rooms for events, meetings and student initiatives, subject to availability
- 3D prints and other finished items can also be collected in the next days
- Use of the facilities and infrastructure of the NOI Makerspace within the framework of existing partnerships
- Technical support and guidance for Bachelor’s, Master’s and diploma theses by arrangement
- Offer of internship placements and 120-hour student job placements
- Organisation and delivery of student workshops, talks and public events
- Participation in interdisciplinary projects alongside students, staff and lecturers
Please note: the safety briefings for individual workshops or laboratories apply only to the respective areas. To gain access to the Fablab, you must have completed the introduction and safety course.
The administrative staff can access the Fablab for university-related and personal projects. As always, attendance at the introduction and safety course is mandatory for autonomous use of the workshops and equipment.
